Federal – Apprenticeship Job Creation Tax Credit
The Apprenticeship Job Creation Tax Credit is a non-refundable tax credit equal to 10% of the salaries and wages payable to eligible apprentices.
The maximum credit an employer can claim is $2,000 per year for each eligible apprentice.
Provincial Training Tax Credits
Each province has their own apprenticeship programs for employees and employers. The amounts vary based on level of training.

Manitoba | $2,500 |
British Columbia | $6,000 |
The provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan don’t have an employer tax credit for apprenticeship, though there are provincial grants and credits available to the employees.
